Three BAF personnel killed in accident at Dhaka airport's 3rd Terminal

Three Bangladesh Air Force personnel were killed and four others injured late Monday when a pickup van they were travelling in fell from an elevated roadway at the under-construction 3rd Terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, officials said.

The accident occurred around 10:20 pm Monday (August 31) as the personnel were on routine duty at the terminal, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) directorate, which confirmed the deaths.

The vehicle lost control while on a flyover on the second floor of the Terminal 3 building and fell to the ground below, killing the three personnel on the spot.

The injured, including several in critical condition, are being treated at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), officials said.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
