A two-day tourism carnival began in Kuakata on Friday, Oct 23, with a beach football competition, a kite festival, and a drawing competition, BSS reported.

The kite festival took place at Lembur Bon Beach at 4:30 pm, with colourful kites filling the sky above the beach, according to the report. In the drawing competition, children depicted tourist destinations, historical monuments, and elements of the country’s heritage.

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat, State Minister for Planning Md Zonayed Abdur Rahim Saki, Patuakhali-4 lawmaker A B M Mosharrof Hossain and senior administrative officials attended the event, among others, BSS said.

A concert featuring popular Bangladeshi artists was scheduled for Friday night. On Saturday, the programme will include a beach marathon and a traditional pitha festival, along with other events, the agency reported.
