Verteil Technologies held an Agency Networking Workshop at Hotel Sarina Dhaka on Wednesday, with more than 80 travel sellers registered, to discuss how New Distribution Capability (NDC) can support their businesses, the company said in a press release.

The event gave Verteil a chance to meet agency partners and hear their experiences, the release said.

Verteil said it has helped travel agencies in Bangladesh adopt NDC technology since 2023, working with its local partner Saimon Global. It said leading travel sellers in the country are already activated on the NDC channel through Verteil, connecting them with major airlines across the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and Africa.

Saimon Global is Verteil’s General Sales Agent in Bangladesh. The company said it gives agencies a local team for sales and operational support.

Jerrin Jos, founder and CEO of Verteil Technologies, said, “Bangladesh is an important market for Verteil," and that the company is pleased with its progress since 2023. He said having reputed travel sellers on the platform is a major achievement. He invited more Bangladeshi travel sellers to adopt NDC through Verteil and said agencies can count on support from Saimon Global as they start and grow their NDC business.

Verteil said it works with more than 85 airlines globally to support their distribution. Travel sellers with their own booking engines can integrate with its Universal APIs to add content from NDC airline partners alongside existing content, without needing separate integrations with each airline, according to the company.

For sellers without a booking engine, Verteil Direct Connect combines shopping, offer comparison, booking, ticketing, and post-booking servicing in one tool, the company said.

Verteil said the workshop will help it learn what agencies need and want. It said these conversations will shape its work in Bangladesh as it continues to drive NDC adoption.
