Air Cambodia and Etihad Airways have announced a codeshare agreement aimed at strengthening air links between Cambodia and the United Arab Emirates amid growing demand for international travel and business connectivity.
Under the agreement, passengers of Air Cambodia will gain expanded access to Etihad’s global network via Abu Dhabi, with onward connections to destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and Australia.
The partnership will allow travellers to book itineraries under a single ticket, benefit from one-time check-in procedures, and have their baggage transferred directly to final destinations, according to a joint statement released on Monday.
The deal is expected to enhance connectivity between Cambodia and the United Arab Emirates while improving travel convenience for both business and leisure passengers.
Air Cambodia said the agreement comes as it continues to expand operations under the country’s “Open Skies” policy, reporting sustained profitability in recent years.
The airline also highlighted fleet developments, including the planned acquisition of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and additional regional jets, as part of its long-term growth strategy.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet has described the carrier as a key driver of national economic development, reflecting its growing role in enhancing connectivity and tourism.
The codeshare marks another step in Air Cambodia’s expanding international partnerships, as it seeks to position itself within major global aviation networks.
Bookings under the new arrangement are now open through official sales channels.
