Bangladesh Hajj Office has ordered all airlines to update pilgrim ticket details in the e-Hajj system at least 24 hours before every flight, starting immediately.
Urgent directive, dated May 15, slams carriers for failing
to follow rules set in 2022. Officials say missing data makes it impossible to
check if flight dates match hotel bookings in Makkah and Madinah.
Without accurate records, thousands of pilgrims risk poor service or accommodation problems, the memo warns.
Director Md Lokman Hossain wrote directly to Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Saudia, and Flynas, demanding instant updates for any tickets sold after the 24-hour cutoff.
Order also went to the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) and every licensed agency handling the 2025 season.
Over 1,27,000 Bangladeshi pilgrims are registered for this
year’s Hajj. Flights begin later this month.
Authorities say strict compliance will ensure smooth operations and full protection for travellers.
Hajj Office described the matter as ‘urgent’ for successful
Hajj management.
