The organizers of the 13th Asian Tourism Fair (ATF Dhaka) 2026 and the Bangladesh Outbound Tour Operators Forum (BOTOF) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening regional tourism cooperation and outbound travel promotion.
The MoU was signed during the BOTOF Annual Members Meet 2026, held at Hotel Sarina in the capital’s Banani area on Thursday.
The MoU seeks to establish cooperation and strategic collaboration for the successful organization and promotion of the 13th Asian Tourism Fair (ATF Dhaka) 2026, scheduled to take place from September 17 to 19 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka.
Mohiuddin Helal, chairman of Asian Tourism Fair and editor of Parjatan Bichitra, signed the agreement on behalf of ATF Dhaka, while BOTOF President Chowdhury Hasanuzzaman signed on behalf of the forum.
Under the agreement, BOTOF will serve as a supporting organization for ATF Dhaka 2026, while its members will receive special discounted participation rates at the event.
The collaboration is expected to strengthen business-to-business (B2B) networking, promote outbound tourism, enhance regional tourism connectivity, and engage tourism stakeholders from Bangladesh and abroad professionally.
Organizers said the 13th edition of the fair will focus on outbound, domestic, and inbound tourism, medical tourism and tourism investment opportunities.
More than 300 exhibitors from over 15 countries are expected to participate in the event, creating opportunities for destination promotion, tourism investment, knowledge sharing, and B2B networking.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, representatives of both organizations expressed optimism that stronger cooperation among tourism stakeholders would help position ATF Dhaka as an important regional tourism networking platform.
The event was attended by BOTOF members, tourism professionals, airline representatives, officials from various national tourism organizations, media professionals, and invited guests.
