Bangladesh High Commission stands by sick Bangladeshi expatriate in Maldives

The Bangladesh High Commission in Maldives stands by Kamal Hossain (42), a Bangladeshi expatriate worker who is undergoing treatment in a serious condition in the Maldives.
A BSS news report mentioned that as part of humanitarian assistance, he has been given a plane ticket to return home.
Bangladesh High Commissioner to Maldives Dr. Md. Nazmul Islam officially handed over the plane ticket to the expatriate worker to return home at the High Commission.
This information was given in a press release by the Bangladesh High Commission in Maldives today.
Kamal Hossain, a Maldivian expatriate, is a resident of Burichang Upazila of Comilla district. He had been suffering from serious heart-related complications for a long time. Arrangements were made for him to return home on an urgent basis in order to receive advanced medical treatment and family care.
It is worth noting that this plane ticket has been provided from the welfare fund of the Bangladesh government's Wage Earners' Welfare Board (WEWB).
At the ticket handover ceremony, High Commissioner Dr. Md. Nazmul Islam reiterated the continued commitment of the Bangladesh government and the Bangladesh High Commission in the Maldives to ensure the welfare, security and dignity of Bangladeshis living abroad.
He said, “The Bangladesh High Commission is always ready to provide any humanitarian, health and welfare assistance to Bangladeshi citizens residing in the Maldives.”
First Secretary Md. Motachem Bilah and Third Secretary Syed Amjad Ali of the Bangladesh High Commission in the Maldives were present at the ticket handover ceremony.
