The operations officially concluded on Thursday at 6:10pm with the departure of flight BG-335 from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to Jeddah carrying 215 Hajj pilgrims.

According to a press release issued by the airline, Biman operated 98 pre-Hajj flights this year and transported a total of 38,680 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. In addition, the airline provided ground handling and other passenger services for 76,197 passengers in Dhaka, including travelers of Saudia and Flynas.

The release also said special “Hajj Care Packs” were distributed among pilgrims with the support of ACL Limited and BRAC Bank PLC.

It may be mentioned that this year’s Hajj flight operations began on April 18 following the inauguration of “Hajj Flight-2026” by the Prime Minister.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines said more than a thousand of its officials and employees worked to ensure the successful completion of the Hajj operations. The airline also expressed gratitude to the relevant ministries, law enforcement agencies, airport authorities and other stakeholders for their support.
