Biman Bangladesh Airlines completes pre-Hajj operations

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has successfully completed its pre-Hajj operations
for 2026.
The operations
officially concluded on Thursday at 6:10pm with the departure of flight BG-335
from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to Jeddah carrying 215 Hajj
pilgrims.
According to a press
release issued by the airline, Biman operated 98 pre-Hajj flights this year and
transported a total of 38,680 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. In addition, the
airline provided ground handling and other passenger services for 76,197
passengers in Dhaka, including travelers of Saudia and Flynas.
The release also said
special “Hajj Care Packs” were distributed among pilgrims with the support of
ACL Limited and BRAC Bank PLC.
It may be mentioned that
this year’s Hajj flight operations began on April 18 following the inauguration
of “Hajj Flight-2026” by the Prime Minister.
Biman Bangladesh
Airlines said more than a thousand of its officials and employees worked to
ensure the successful completion of the Hajj operations. The airline also
expressed gratitude to the relevant ministries, law enforcement agencies,
airport authorities and other stakeholders for their support.
