Biman Bangladesh Airlines has issued a public warning against unauthorised online recruitment forms circulating in its name, cautioning prospective jobseekers against sharing personal information or making financial transactions through suspicious links.
The national flag carrier raised the alert after discovering that an unauthorised Google Form was being circulated to collect recruitment-related information under the airline's name, raising concerns over potential fraud and misuse of applicants' personal data.
In a statement issued on October 31, Biman categorically denied any connection with the online form or activities conducted through it.
"Biman Bangladesh Airlines has neither introduced nor authorised any such form," the airline said, urging jobseekers to remain vigilant against misleading recruitment advertisements.
The warning comes amid concerns that unauthorised online platforms could exploit the reputation of the national carrier to attract unsuspecting job applicants.
Biman clarified that its recruitment process follows established procedures, with employment notices published in national daily newspapers after receiving approval from the appropriate authorities.
The airline uses the designated Teletalk online recruitment system for receiving and processing applications, while official recruitment notices and relevant information are also published on its authorised website.
Prospective applicants have been strongly advised to verify the authenticity of recruitment announcements before submitting personal details, documents or payments.
The airline specifically warned against providing sensitive information through unfamiliar links or making financial transactions in response to unverified employment offers.
It urged members of the public to rely exclusively on national newspapers, Biman's official website and the designated Teletalk recruitment portal for authentic recruitment-related information.
The warning highlights the importance of digital awareness among jobseekers, particularly as online platforms are increasingly used for employment applications and recruitment communication.
Unauthorised recruitment forms can expose applicants to potential identity theft, financial scams and misuse of personal information.
Biman reiterated that recruitment activities conducted through unofficial Google Forms or other unauthorised platforms have no affiliation with the airline.
The carrier said the advisory was issued in the public interest to safeguard prospective employees from possible deception and financial losses while maintaining transparency and credibility in its recruitment procedures.
