The Emirates Group concluded its participation in the 2026 National Service Career Fair this week, drawing 2,300 visitors to its stand over the three-day event, the aviation group said in a statement.

The fair was held at the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai from July 15 to 17 and aims to connect graduates and cadets of the UAE's National Service Programme with employers across a range of industries, including the Emirates Group.

Major General Khalifa Rashed Al Hameli, Director of the Office of the UAE Minister of Defense, visited the Emirates Group stand as part of a ministerial delegation touring the exhibition. Khaled Alobeidli, manager of human resources recruitment, welcomed him and briefed him on the career opportunities available to candidates.

The group's National Cadet Pilot Programme generated the strongest interest among visitors, receiving 1,300 applications from prospective candidates during the event.

Other programmes showcased at the stand included the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence Programme, International Scholarship Programme, IT Scholarship Programme, National Scholarship Programme, Outstation Programme and Graduate Programme.

Recruiters and Emirati staff from across the group's businesses were on hand to brief visitors on career pathways and training opportunities suited to different academic backgrounds.

The Emirates Group said its continued participation in the career fair reflects its ongoing support for the UAE's Emiratisation agenda, which aims to expand employment opportunities for UAE nationals in the private sector.

Through career fairs, school outreach programmes and other engagement activities, the group said it aims to encourage more Emiratis to pursue careers in the travel and aviation sector, which it described as a key contributor to the UAE's long-term economic growth.
