Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan has appointed renowned Egyptian culinary expert Chef Mohamed Kassem as its new Executive Chef, bringing more than 18 years of international hospitality experience to strengthen the hotel's culinary offerings.

The hotel announced the appointment in a press release today, saying Chef Kassem will lead all culinary operations, including restaurants, banquets, special events and menu development.

Chef Kassem joins Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan after working with several globally recognized hospitality brands, including IHG Hotels & Resorts, Hyatt, Kempinski and Hilton. Throughout his career, he has worked across the Middle East, Asia and Africa, earning recognition for developing innovative dining concepts, leading culinary teams and enhancing guest experiences.

Originally from Egypt, Chef Kassem specialises in Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, European and international cuisine. His professional journey includes luxury hotels and resorts in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, India, Oman and Egypt.

Among his notable achievements is the launch of Syrah, the signature Middle Eastern restaurant at Hyatt Regency Delhi, where he introduced authentic regional flavours and helped establish the restaurant as a popular dining destination.

In his new role, Chef Kassem aims to enhance the hotel's dining experiences by combining the rich heritage of Middle Eastern cuisine with contemporary international flavours.
