Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan signs MoU with FICAC World as official hospitality partner

Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan, an IHG hotel, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FICAC World, the Federation Internationale des Corps et Associations Consulaires AISBL, also known as the World Federation of Consuls, to become the organisation’s Official Hospitality Partner in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The agreement was signed on October 2 in the presence of representatives from the diplomatic and consular community, business leaders and senior stakeholders.
Those attending the signing ceremony included Firoze Asad, Senior Group Advisor, Doreen; Hon. Nikolaos Margaropoulos, President of FICAC and Honorary Consul General of the Philippines in Thessaloniki; Hon. Asif A. Chowdhury, Vice President of FICAC and Honorary Consul of Chile in Bangladesh; Hon. Nasreen Zamir, Honorary Consul of Luxembourg in Bangladesh; Hon. Arik Morshed, Honorary Consul of Lao PDR in Bangladesh; and Farzanah Chowdhury, Ambassador at Large of Gambia in Bangladesh.
During the ceremony, the President of FICAC World presented an Appreciation Certificate to Firoze Asad in recognition of Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan’s partnership as the organisation’s official hospitality partner.
Under the MoU, FICAC World members and eligible delegates will receive preferential benefits at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan, including special accommodation rates, complimentary enrolment in IHG One Rewards, discounts on food and beverage, swimming pool and gym memberships, laundry services, airport transportation, and banquet and event facilities.
The agreement also includes special arrangements for FICAC World Members’ Nights and selected events hosted at the hotel.
The partnership is intended to support international delegates, diplomatic and business engagements, conferences, receptions and other events in Dhaka. It also provides opportunities for FICAC World members to use the hotel for business and diplomatic events.
Beyond accommodation and hospitality services, the two organisations will explore cooperation through trade delegations, strategic roadshows, bespoke exhibitions, receptions and cultural collaborations. Possible joint initiatives include curated food festivals and other special events.
FICAC World will promote the preferential arrangements and hospitality facilities available at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan through its relevant communication channels and recommend the hotel to members, visiting delegates and conference participants where appropriate.
FICAC World is a non-profit organisation that conducts national and international seminars, programmes, panel discussions and other activities involving participants from Bangladesh and abroad.
The organisation is recognised as a non-governmental organisation by the United Nations and holds Special ECOSOC Status. It is also recognised by the Organization of American States and the European Union.
The MoU came into effect on the date of signing and will remain valid until December 31, 2027.
The agreement establishes a framework for continued cooperation between Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan and FICAC World in supporting diplomatic, business and cultural activities in Dhaka.
