Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan has joined the 13th Asian Tourism Fair (ATF) Dhaka 2026 as the hospitality partner, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the hotel and the fair organisers on Sunday.

Under the partnership, Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan will provide accommodation and hospitality services to international guests and delegates attending the three-day fair. The organisers said the partnership will also help strengthen business networking among tourism stakeholders and support the international promotion of Bangladesh’s tourism industry.

The MoU was signed at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan in the presence of General Manager Kartik V. K. and Director of Sales Md. Salah Uddin.

Representing the Asian Tourism Fair were its Chairman and Editor of Parjatan Bichitra Mohiuddin Helal, Fair Director Borhan Uddin, Director (Marketing & Development) Salauddin Auton, and Tourism & Hospitality Industry Skills Council Vice Chairman and Arunima Resort & Golf Club Chairman Khabir Uddin Ahmed, among others.

Speaking at the ceremony, Kartik said a comprehensive tourism fair creates opportunities for business and professional networking among tourism organisations while providing a platform to showcase a country’s tourism potential, development plans and investment opportunities to international markets.

He welcomed the initiative and assured the organisers of Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan’s support as the hospitality partner.

With the approval and support of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, the 13th Asian Tourism Fair 2026 will be held from Sept 17 to 19 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka.

The fair will remain open to visitors from 10 am to 7 pm each day.

More than 300 stalls will showcase tourism products and services from Bangladesh and abroad, featuring hotels, resorts, tour operators, travel agencies, National Tourism Organisations (NTOs), investors and other tourism-related organisations.

Tourism organisations and stakeholders from Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and several other countries are expected to participate.

The three-day event will feature B2B meetings, seminars, group discussions, tourism-focused sessions, cultural programmes and a raffle draw. It will bring together domestic and international tourism organisations, investors, entrepreneurs, professionals, students and visitors.

Mohiuddin said the organisers are taking special initiatives to turn the 13th Asian Tourism Fair into a major gathering and tourism festival as part of activities leading towards the celebration of World Tourism Day 2027.

He said participating organisations will offer holiday packages, discounts and special offers for the upcoming winter travel season, which the organisers expect will generate greater interest in Bangladesh’s tourism destinations and encourage increased visitor flows.

Mohiuddin also called for stronger media support to promote Bangladesh’s tourism potential in international markets.

The organisers said the Asian Tourism Fair has over the years served as a common platform for hotels, resorts, tour operators, travel agents, airlines, NTOs, investors, skills development institutions and tourism entrepreneurs.

They expect the 13th edition to further strengthen Bangladesh’s tourism industry, enhance its competitiveness and international market orientation, and create opportunities to promote tourism destinations and attract investment in the sector.
