Dhaka tourism fair opens

A three-day international tourism fair began in Dhaka today, bringing together global and local stakeholders to promote travel, tourism services and business opportunities.
The 21st edition of Dhaka Travel Mart 2026 commenced at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, organised by The Bangladesh Monitor with Air Astra as the title sponsor and support of US-Bangla Airlines.
M Nasser Rahman, MP, formally inaugurated the fair, while Kazi Wahidul Alam, editor of The Bangladesh Monitor, and representatives of sponsors and partner organisations also addressed the ceremony.
More than 50 organisations from Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Vietnam, China, and host Bangladesh are participating, showcasing products and services across 10 pavilions and over 80 booths.
Participants include national tourism organisations, airlines, travel agencies, hotels and resorts, tour operators, financial institutions, medical service providers, and other stakeholders in the travel and tourism industry.
Travel companies are offering visitors attractive discounts on domestic and international air tickets, tour packages, hotel and resort accommodations, medical tourism services, and other travel-related products.
The fair will remain open to visitors daily from 10am to 8pm.
