Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer on Tuesday unveiled the Phenom 300EV, the latest version of its Phenom 300 series, introducing new safety technologies, avionics, and performance enhancements to the world's best-selling light business jet.

In a press release, the company said the Phenom 300EV features Garmin Emergency Autoland technology, upgraded flight systems, improved range and payload capacity, and a series of cabin refinements aimed at enhancing safety, operational efficiency, and passenger comfort.

Embraer said the Phenom 300 series has been the world's best-selling light jet for 14 consecutive years. The new aircraft is equipped with Garmin Emergency Autoland, enabling the jet to perform a fully automated landing in the event of pilot incapacitation. According to the manufacturer, it is the largest business jet to incorporate the system.

The aircraft also introduces class-exclusive autobrake technology and a newly developed Multi-Purpose Electronic Controller (MEC), which combines rudder-by-wire and other electronically controlled flight functions to reduce pilot workload and simplify maintenance.

Additional avionics upgrades include Garmin G3000 Prodigy Touch flight deck enhancements, featuring runway and taxi situational awareness, Synthetic Vision Guidance System (SVGS), Runway Occupancy Awareness, advanced navigation capabilities, and improved flight management systems. These complement existing features such as autothrottle, Emergency Descent Mode and the Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System (ROAAS).

"For well over a decade, the Phenom 300 series has set the standard by which every light jet is measured," said Michael Amalfitano, President and Chief Executive Officer of Embraer Executive Jets.

"With the new Phenom 300EV, we are raising the bar once again. Through purposeful innovations combining enhanced safety technology, amplified performance, and thoughtful cabin refinements, we have introduced meaningful advancements that make flying more intuitive, seamless and enjoyable," he said.

Performance improvements include an extended range of up to 2,055 nautical miles (3,806 kilometres), an increase in maximum zero fuel weight and approximately 430 pounds of additional payload capacity. The aircraft is also fitted with new lithium-ion batteries and LED taxi and landing lights to improve operational reliability.

Inside the cabin, Embraer has introduced low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity through Gogo Galileo, while Starlink internet connectivity will be available as an aftermarket upgrade. Other enhancements include a redesigned refreshment centre, improved cabin temperature control, an odorless vacuum lavatory, an air ionisation system and one of the largest baggage compartments in the light jet category.

The aircraft continues to feature a maximum cabin altitude of 6,600 feet, large windows and an entry stairway inspired by larger business jets, according to the manufacturer.

Although primarily intended for business aviation customers rather than commercial airline passengers, the new aircraft reflects growing demand within the corporate aviation sector for advanced automation, enhanced safety features and high-speed global connectivity. The upgraded systems are also expected to improve operational efficiency for flight crews and aircraft operators.

Embraer said the Phenom 300EV will be supported by its global customer service network, with the aircraft forming part of the company's broader strategy to strengthen its position in the business aviation market through continued investment in technology, safety, and aircraft performance.
