Emirates said Thursday it will introduce its flagship Airbus A380 on the Dubai-Delhi route from October 25 while expanding its Premium Economy offering to six destinations in India, as the airline continues to enhance services in one of its largest international markets.

In a press release, the Dubai-based carrier said the Airbus A380 will operate on flights EK512/513 between Dubai and Delhi in a four-class configuration, making the Indian capital the third destination in the country, after Mumbai and Bengaluru, to receive regular A380 service.

The airline said the deployment will complement its retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft, which already operate the carrier's three other daily Delhi flights with four-class cabins, including Premium Economy. From Oct. 25, Premium Economy will be available on all four daily services between Dubai and Delhi.

Emirates also announced that its Premium Economy cabin will be available on flights to six Indian cities by the end of October—Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Kochi—offering passengers more travel options with enhanced comfort.

As part of the expansion, the airline's daily Kolkata-Dubai service, EK570/571, will be upgraded from a Boeing 777 to the next-generation Airbus A350 from Oct. 25. The A350 will feature Emirates' latest cabin products, including Premium Economy. Combined with five weekly retrofitted Boeing 777 services, Premium Economy will be offered on all 12 weekly flights between Kolkata and Dubai.

"Emirates' long-standing commitment to India is reflected in the continued rollout of our latest products, designed to enhance the travel experience," said Adnan Kazim, the airline's Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer.

"We are pleased to introduce our highly anticipated A380 services to Delhi, a vital gateway in our network, starting in October. Given the strong demand for travel to and from India, it is an honour to expand our A380 footprint in the country, with Delhi joining Mumbai and Bengaluru as our third A380 destination," he said.

Kazim added that the airline was also extending Premium Economy to six Indian gateways, covering nearly half of its scheduled weekly flights to and from the country, with additional service enhancements planned.

According to Emirates, Premium Economy will be available on four daily flights from Delhi, 22 weekly flights from Mumbai, 12 weekly flights from Kolkata, nine weekly flights from Ahmedabad, seven weekly flights from Bengaluru, and two weekly flights from Kochi.

The airline also outlined a series of customer service enhancements in India, including recently opened Emirates retail travel stores in Delhi and Mumbai. Similar outlets are planned for Hyderabad and Bengaluru, alongside a dedicated customer call centre in Mumbai.

Onboard, Emirates said passengers travelling from its nine Indian gateways will continue to be offered regionally inspired menus, multilingual cabin crew, and access to more than 6,500 in-flight entertainment channels, including a wide selection of Indian-language content.

India is one of Emirates' largest international markets. The airline currently operates 167 weekly flights from nine Indian cities—Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram—connecting passengers through Dubai to nearly 140 destinations worldwide. The latest fleet and cabin upgrades are expected to strengthen Emirates' position in the market while providing travellers with more premium travel options and greater network connectivity.
