India will cap monthly increases in aviation turbine fuel prices for domestic flights at 25%, the government said in a statement on Thursday.
India's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh appreciated the decision and said the move would help protect passengers from sudden fare increases.
Separately, the government said that private operators were facing certain constraints in supply of auto LPG due to procurement challenges and it was encouraging dual feed autos to switch to petrol where possible.
