Jet fuel price reduced


The price of jet fuel (jet A-1) in Bangladesh has been cut by Tk 39.57 per liter, and the new

rates from midnight Saturday.


The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the decision in a statement issued on Saturday.


The latest adjustment follows a previous cut of Tk 22.35 per liter on May 7.


On April 7, jet fuel prices were nearly Tk 25 per liter, following a significant increase of Tk 90 per liter on March 24.


The price of jet fuel for domestic flights has been reduced from Tk 205.45 to Tk 165.88 per liter under the revised rates.


Additionally, the cost of a liter of fuel for international flights has decreased from $1.3385 to $1.0823.


The prices of both domestic and international flights were adjusted in accordance with the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Act as a result of substantial fluctuations in the price of international jet fuel, as per BERC.
