The embassies of Schengen member states in Dhaka have issued a joint advisory warning Bangladeshi visa applicants to submit their applications only to the embassy corresponding to their primary travel destination, cautioning that applications filed with the wrong mission will be automatically rejected.
Schengen state embassies in Dhaka published the notice on their verified Facebook pages on Monday.
"Please apply with the embassy corresponding to the main destination of your trip. Applying to the wrong embassy will result in refusal of your application," the joint notice read.
The Schengen Area comprises 29 European countries that have abolished passport controls at their mutual borders, allowing free movement across member states under a single visa.
