Iranian drones struck fuel tanks at Kuwait International Airport causing a large fire on today, as United States-Israel war on Iran entered fifth week.

Abdullah al-Rajhi, spokesman for General Directorate of Civil Aviation in Kuwait, said the airport faced ‘brazen attacks by drones from Iran and the armed factions it supports’. Raids targeted airport fuel tanks, ‘leading to a large fire breaking out at the site’, official Kuwait News Agency quoted him saying.

Emergency teams responded to the scene. “The damage is material with no human injuries”, al-Rajhi confirmed.

Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior reported civil defence crews were ‘extinguishing a fire in a facility of a company as a result of the Iranian aggression’. Ministry added that ‘relevant authorities are taking their measures at the site’ without naming the affected company.

Tanker was hit by unknown projectile about 17 nautical miles (32 kilometres) north of Qatar’s Ras Laffan industrial hub, main gas production facility struck by Iranian missiles last month. United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations confirmed damage to hull at waterline, adding crew remained safe.

Qatar’s Ministry of Defence stated the country was targeted by three cruise missiles launched from Iran. Ministry intercepted two missiles while third struck a tanker leased to QatarEnergy. Tanker's 21-person crew was evacuated with no injuries reported.

In United Arab Emirates (UAE), official WAM news agency confirmed shrapnel from drone interception fell on farm in al-Rifaa area of Fujairah city, causing death of a Bangladeshi national. Authorities were dealing with the incident.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense said several drones were ‘intercepted and destroyed’ without reporting injuries.

Oil-rich Gulf region has borne brunt of Iran's attacks in response to US-Israeli air strikes. Iran claims to be attacking US assets in the region, but Gulf nations accuse Tehran of targeting civilian infrastructure.

United Nations Development Programme report released Tuesday estimated gross domestic product in Arab world would decline by approximately 3.7 to 6 percent after one month of war, equivalent to contraction of USD 120 billion to USD 194 billion.

US President Donald Trump told reporters at White House on Tuesday that American exit could occur ‘within two weeks, maybe two weeks, maybe three’.

Washington previously threatened to intensify operations if Tehran rejected 15-point US ceasefire framework demanding Iran abandon nuclear weapons pursuit, halt uranium enrichment and fully reopen Strait of Hormuz. Tehran dismissed proposal as ‘maximalist’ and ‘unreasonable’, demanding compensation for destruction caused by US-Israeli attacks.
