Qatar Civil Aviation Authority announced on Friday that it has permitted limited flight operations after closing airspace due to Iranian missile and drone attacks in response to joint US-Israeli strikes.

Authority stated that Qatar's airspace has been partially reopened with flights operating through designated emergency or alternative routes at limited capacity. Limited number of flights will primarily focus on passenger rescue operations alongside air cargo services.

Qatar Airways confirmed it will operate recovery flights to London, Paris, Madrid, Rome and Frankfurt on 7th March after ensuring safe flight corridors. Priority will be given to stranded families, elderly passengers and individuals requiring urgent medical attention.

Hamad International Airport, Qatar's main airport, confirmed limited flights will operate Saturday solely for rescuing stranded passengers and handling air cargo. Decision on additional flight operations will depend on ongoing security situation assessment.

Current Middle East conflict has severely disrupted comparative stability of Gulf region, delivering major blow to tourism. Tourists who arrived expecting safe holiday destinations now face war-related terror and insecurity during their travels.

Qatar’s Defence Ministry reported Friday that 10 Iranian drones attacked their territory. Military forces intercepted nine drones while one struck uninhabited area, causing no casualties.

Tuesday, Qatar government stated Hamad International Airport was targeted in Iranian attacks but all strikes were successfully repelled.

Airport authorities continue monitoring situation and will reschedule flight operations while ensuring security following flight cancellations due to Middle East security crisis.
