Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel is set to bring the authentic flavours of Italy to the capital with "Buon Appetito – Italian Weekend Theme Night," a special culinary festival at its signature all-day dining restaurant, Bahar, throughout August.

The Italian-themed dining experience will be held every Thursday to Saturday from August 6 to August 29, offering guests an opportunity to explore Italy's rich culinary heritage through an extensive buffet featuring traditional regional specialties and live cooking stations, according to a press release.

The festival will officially begin on August 6 with a launch ceremony to be inaugurated by the Ambassador of Italy to Bangladesh, alongside senior officials, members of the Italian community, media representatives, lifestyle influencers and food bloggers. The event aims to promote cultural exchange through Italian cuisine and hospitality.

Inspired by the traditional Italian phrase "Buon Appetito," meaning "good appetite," the themed event has been curated by the hotel's culinary team to showcase authentic Italian dishes prepared using premium ingredients and traditional cooking techniques with a contemporary presentation.

Guests will be able to enjoy a wide variety of Italian favourites, including artisan breads, antipasti, handcrafted pastas, signature risottos, wood-fired specialties, grilled seafood and meats, regional cheeses, and classic desserts such as Tiramisu, Panna Cotta, Torta Caprese, Pistachio Cannoli, and Italian Crème Brûlée. Interactive live cooking stations will also allow diners to watch chefs prepare signature dishes fresh to order.

The buffet is priced at BDT 3,950 net per person. The hotel is also offering 25 percent discounts for selected bank cardholders, GP Star members, Banglalink Orange Club customers and group bookings.

According to the hotel, the initiative is part of Bahar's monthly Weekend Theme Night series, which introduces guests to different global cuisines and cultures through immersive dining experiences.
