Sayeman wins 3 South Asian travel awards

Bangladeshi hospitality brand Sayeman won three awards at the 10th South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2026, the company said Monday. It said this is the eighth year in a row it has won awards at the event.

Pubudu Fernando, Cluster General Manager of Sayeman Beach Resort and Sayeman Heritage, accepted the awards on the brand’s behalf at a ceremony on Oct 8 in Malé, the capital of the Maldives, according to a press release issued by Sayeman Beach Resort.

The awards are:

Leading Resort and Hotel Brand in Bangladesh

Leading Beach Hotel in Bangladesh, for Sayeman Beach Resort

Leading Heritage Hotel and Resort in Bangladesh, for Sayeman Heritage

The release said the 2026 wins coincided with the Sayeman hotel family marking more than six decades of operation. It said the consecutive wins reflect the brand’s long presence in Bangladesh’s tourism industry and its consistent service.

Both properties are in Cox’s Bazar, a popular beach tourism destination in southeastern Bangladesh. Sayeman Beach Resort offers a modern beach-focused stay, while Sayeman Heritage is associated with the historic Sayeman name, the release said. Sayeman was established in 1964.

“Teamwork is the cornerstone of our success,” Fernando said in the release. He described the awards as a collective achievement of the organisation’s staff, and thanked colleagues, guests, business partners and well-wishers. He said the recognition motivates the team to serve better and preserve Sayeman’s legacy for future generations.

Fernando added that the company remains committed to welcoming visitors with Bangladeshi hospitality and strengthening the reputation of Cox’s Bazar and Sayeman internationally.
