The Schengen States' embassies in Dhaka have reiterated their warning to visa applicants regarding the submission of falsified or manipulated documents.

In a notice published on their verified Facebook page, the embassies urged applicants to submit only original and unaltered documents along with their visa applications, warning that any submission of forged or tampered paperwork will result in the outright refusal of the application.

"Please only present original and non-manipulated documents with your application. Submitting falsified or manipulated documents will result in refusal of your application," the notice read.

This is not an isolated advisory. The Schengen embassies in Dhaka regularly issue such notices through their official social media platforms as part of an ongoing effort to maintain transparency and integrity in the visa application process.

The embassies have consistently emphasized that document fraud not only leads to visa rejection but may also result in long-term consequences, including future travel bans to Schengen member states.

The Schengen Area comprises 29 European countries that have abolished passport controls at their mutual borders, making a Schengen visa one of the most sought-after travel documents among Bangladeshi travelers.
