Singapore Airlines (SIA) on Friday unveiled new cabin products, in-flight entertainment, dining, amenities, and lounges, saying it was investing more than S$2 billion (about US$1.5 billion) in next-generation seats across all four cabin classes.

The new long-haul First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy cabins will be introduced progressively from the second half of 2027, the airline said in a press release. They will go on its all-new Boeing 777-9 aircraft and on 41 retrofitted Airbus A350-900 long-haul and A350-900 ultra-long-range (ULR) aircraft.

The 777-9s will have all four new cabin products. The retrofitted A350-900 long-haul and A350-900ULR jets will get the new Business Class seats, and First Class will be offered on the A350-900ULR for the first time.

The launch event was held in Singapore, with Transport Minister Jeffrey Siow as guest of honour.

SIA Chief Executive Goh Choon Phong said customers experience the airline as one seamless journey and that the investment is meant to bring greater comfort, choice, and convenience at every stage. He described the launch as "not an endpoint, but another step" in the airline's effort to earn customer loyalty and reinforce its industry leadership. He also said the care and professionalism of SIA's staff remain at the heart of the experience.

SIA said the cabin designs drew on focus groups, interviews, surveys, and concept testing, which highlighted comfort, privacy, intuitive functionality, and adaptable spaces. PriestmanGoode designed First Class, Designworks Business Class, and Factorydesign Premium Economy and Economy. Collins Aerospace is supplying seats for First, Premium Economy, and Economy, and RECARO Aircraft Seating the Business Class seats.

The next-generation KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system will have 4K touchscreens, spatial audio, Bluetooth pairing for personal headphones, a redesigned interface, wellness and personalisation features, and more than 2,500 entertainment options. OLED displays will be available on selected aircraft only: Business Class on the retrofitted A350-900 long-haul jets, First and Business on the A350-900ULR, and Premium Economy and Economy on selected 777-9s.

High-speed internet through Starlink will be offered on the A380, A350-900 long-haul, and A350-900ULR fleets, allowing passengers to stream, stay in touch, and work on personal devices.

The airline is also introducing more than 100 new and refreshed dishes across all classes, an expanded range of wines and spirits, and custom Christofle serviceware for Suites, First, and Business Class.

New amenity kits will feature SISLEY in Suites and First Class, BYREDO in Business Class, and INK & WATER in Premium Economy. Economy passengers will get a collectible pouch with travel essentials. Suites and First Class passengers will receive new 100 percent cotton sleeper suits, while Business Class will offer sleeper suits for the first time.

On the ground, SIA said it has invested more than S$130 million to renovate and expand SilverKris lounges worldwide, including at its Changi Airport hub, with more seating, dining, work, and rest areas. SilverKris First Class lounges in Singapore will offer full-service dining similar to that of The Private Room.

Suites and First Class passengers at Changi will also get priority immigration and security clearance and a concierge service, including meet-and-greet assistance and buggy transfers between selected airport points where available.

The airline did not give specific rollout dates beyond the second half of 2027, and the figures and timelines in this report are those stated by SIA.
