The Embassy of Sweden in Dhaka said it will prioritise visa applications from students between May and the end of August, according to a notice posted on its verified Facebook page on Sunday.

The embassy said that during this period it will process applications only from students planning to travel to Sweden for study purposes.

Family members of students applying for visas will be assisted after the prioritised processing period ends, the mission said, adding that no exceptions will be made to the policy.

The embassy thanked applicants for their understanding and cooperation.
