The Embassy of Sweden in Dhaka will no longer process Schengen visa applications from October 15, 2026, and all decisions will instead be made by the Swedish Migration Agency in Sweden, the embassy said in a notice on its official Facebook page.

The embassy said the change would not affect the application process for applicants. It advised applicants to continue booking appointments with VFS Global and to submit their applications as usual.
