The Bangladesh Embassy in Poland has called on Bangladeshi nationals living in the country to exercise greater responsibility in their use of social media, according to a post published on the embassy's Facebook page on Friday (August 14) night.
The advisory, issued in line with recent guidance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, urges all Bangladeshis residing in Poland to use social media prudently and responsibly.
It specifically calls on them to refrain from any statements, conduct, activities, or campaigns that are misleading, false, provocative, offensive, or in violation of Poland's laws and regulations.
The embassy said such actions could damage the image and reputation of the Bangladeshi community in the Schengen-member Central European country.
The guidelines issued for Bangladeshis living in Poland are as follows:
-Comply properly with Poland's existing laws and regulations.
-Verify the authenticity and potential impact of any information, statement, or content before publishing or sharing it.
-Refrain from false, misleading, unlawful or provocative statements, content or activities.
-Maintain responsible, restrained and lawful conduct both online and offline.
-Remain mindful that personal actions should not harm the reputation and dignity of the Bangladeshi community.
-Follow the laws and directives of relevant authorities regarding residence, work, and business in Poland.
