Afroza urges to work for national interest, not political parties

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam urged government employees today to dedicate themselves to the service of the nation with sincerity, integrity, and professionalism, rather than working for any political affiliation.

She made these remarks while addressing the District Law and Order Committee meeting held at the conference room of the Manikganj District Administration at 10AM on Sunday, according to press release form the ministry.

The Minister stated that collective efforts from all stakeholders are essential to ensure continued national progress. She emphasized that government officials must play a more active and responsible role than ever before in implementing the electoral commitments of the present government.

Highlighting the growing threat of drugs, the Minister called for a strong social movement against drug abuse. She noted that drug addiction and trafficking are not only law enforcement issues but also serious social challenges that require awareness and participation from all sections of society, regardless of political or social differences.

She further instructed law enforcement agencies to take a firm stance against drug dealers to ensure peace and stability in society.

The Minister also stressed the importance of protecting playgrounds and open spaces to ensure the healthy physical and mental development of children. She directed the district administration to take necessary measures in this regard.

Afroza Khanam added that the current government has been entrusted with the responsibility of governing the country due to the trust and support of the people. She called upon all government officials and employees to work with dedication for the welfare of the country and its citizens.
