The Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh has issued an urgent notice urging Bangladeshi nationals residing in Saudi Arabia to exercise caution amid the current situation in the Middle East and to strictly comply with directives issued by Saudi authorities.
The notice, released on Wednesday, mentioned a warning from the Saudi Ministry of Interior that taking, sharing, or posting any content—like pictures or videos—about missile or drone interceptions or debris from these events is against the law in Saudi Arabia and can lead to punishment.
In light of this advisory, the embassy called on all Bangladeshi citizens in the kingdom to refrain from sharing, storing on mobile devices, or circulating any photographs, videos, or related information concerning the ongoing conflict in the Middle East across social media platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter).
