The High Commission of Canada to Bangladesh today warned that no individual or agency can guarantee a Canadian visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), cautioning applicants against fraudulent schemes.
In a message posted on its official Facebook page, the mission said that anyone claiming by email, phone, or text message that they can guarantee approval of a visa or eTA is engaging in a scam.
“Did you know: No one can guarantee you a Canadian visa or an eTA. If someone contacts you by email, phone, or text claiming they can—it's a scam,” the High Commission said.
The mission urged prospective applicants to be vigilant and to seek information only from official sources. It also directed the public to guidance available on the Government of Canada’s website on how to protect themselves from immigration fraud and scams.
