Tourism Malaysia will host the Citrawarna Speed Festival 2026 from September 23 to October 4, combining Malaysian cultural showcases with motorsport-themed attractions and interactive experiences as part of Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 (VM2026–2027).

The festival will take place at IOI City Mall Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 and Sama-Sama Hotel. It will feature two main components — Colours of Speed and Colours of Art & Culture — with activities staged across the participating venues.

Colours of Speed will feature motorsport-inspired showcases and interactive experiences, including a collection of racing memorabilia and autographed items, along with a display of iconic supercars.

A key attraction will be a racing simulator competition at IOI City Mall Putrajaya. Members of the public will be able to test their racing skills and compete through qualifying stages for a chance to reach the final and win prizes.

Colours of Art & Culture will showcase Malaysia’s cultural diversity through performances, music and dance, handicrafts and interactive activities representing traditions and communities from across the country.

A major highlight will be the Colours of Parade, featuring 1,500 dancers and cultural performers from different regions and communities across Malaysia. The parade will feature traditional music, dance, colourful costumes and other cultural expressions.

The festival is supported by strategic partners including Yes Travel & Holidays Sdn. Bhd., IOI Properties, the National Department for Culture and Arts (JKKN), Istana Budaya, Kraftangan Malaysia, Sama-Sama Hotel, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), SNS Network, SDeal Malaysia Sim Racing & Motorsport and HP, among others.

Tourism Malaysia said the festival aims to use the appeal of motorsport to reach wider audiences while showcasing Malaysia’s cultural and tourism offerings.

The country recorded 21.1 million international visitor arrivals between January and June 2026, up 2.5 per cent from 20.6 million during the same period in 2025.

As part of VM2026–2027, the festival is expected to generate increased tourism activity and economic opportunities, promote cultural appreciation and benefit local communities, while strengthening Malaysia’s position as a vibrant and competitive tourism destination.
