Embraer and Austrian Airlines have signed a Component Pool Program agreement covering the airline’s fleet of 13 E195 aircraft, the Brazilian planemaker said.
The agreement gives Austrian access to component support aimed at keeping fleet availability high. The program covers more than 300 aircraft components and includes advanced exchange, repair and overhaul services, according to the release.
Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support, said the program is designed to “simplify component management while helping operators maximize aircraft availability” and reduce maintenance-related costs.
He added that Embraer was pleased to support Austrian with a solution combining inventory access, repair capabilities and technical expertise, allowing the airline to focus on its customers’ travel experience.
Embraer said its Pool Program is offered to airlines worldwide and draws on the company’s technical expertise and services network. It said the program delivers significant savings in component repair and inventory holding costs, reduces warehousing needs and operates under guaranteed performance levels.
The release did not give the contract’s value or duration, and it did not include a comment from Austrian Airlines.
Embraer, headquartered in Brazil, says it has delivered more than 9,000 aircraft since its founding in 1969.
