Embraer has delivered the first Praetor 600E business jet to US-based Flexjet, making the operator the fleet launch customer for the upgraded super-midsize aircraft, the Brazilian planemaker said on Friday.

Flexjet's aircraft is fitted with Embraer's Smart Window, a 42-inch 4K OLED touchscreen monitor that supports video conferencing and high-resolution streaming and shows a live view from three external cameras, Embraer said in a press release.

The Praetor 600E was unveiled in February alongside the Praetor 500E. It received certification from Brazil's ANAC, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in April, while the Praetor 500E was certified in June, Embraer said.

The delivery falls under a deal announced in February 2025 worth up to $7 billion, which covers a firm order for 182 aircraft, options for 30 more, and an expanded services and support agreement. Flexjet will receive its first Praetor 500E in the fourth quarter of 2026 and will also be the launch customer for that model, Embraer said.

Flexjet Chief Executive Michael Silvestro said the delivery continues a partnership with Embraer that began in 2003. He said fractional aircraft owners look to the company for access to "the world's most advanced aircraft."

Michael Amalfitano, president and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, described Flexjet as a strategic partner of more than 20 years and said the milestone reflected the strength of that relationship and the jet's next-generation features.

According to Embraer, the Praetor 600E has a range of 4,018 nautical miles (7,441 km) with four passengers and NBAA IFR reserves, allowing nonstop flights between city pairs such as London-New York and Sao Paulo-Miami. The company describes it as the world's farthest-flying super-midsize jet.

The aircraft has a redesigned cabin with new seating, an updated cabin management system, and a revamped galley, Embraer said. It also has full fly-by-wire controls with active turbulence reduction, an enhanced vision system, and a runway overrun alerting system. It is powered by two Honeywell HTF7500E engines.

The companies' relationship also includes Flexjet's selection as the launch customer for the original Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 in 2019, according to Embraer.
