Emirates has opened a dedicated travel store in Tokyo’s Otemachi business district, following its Osaka outlet. It is also scheduled to increase flights to Narita Airport from 26 October.
The airline held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Emirates Travel Store Tokyo on 14 October.
Guests included UAE Ambassador to Japan Shihab Ahmed Al Faheem; Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Far East; and Satish Sethi, Country Manager for Japan. Tetsuya Mori, Director of the International Air Transport Division at the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau, also attended, along with members of Tokyo’s travel and trade industry and local media.
Emirates said the store follows the opening of its Travel Store Osaka in July 2025 and expands its retail presence in Japan. It gives customers in greater Tokyo a new place to explore the airline’s network and products.
Multilingual travel consultants serve both Japanese and international customers. Visitors can get help with flight bookings, travel information, and curated itineraries.
The store is designed around a modern luxury theme, with soft beige lounge chairs and contemporary furnishings. It has a self-service kiosk, a personalised queue management system, and a selfie mirror with backdrops of destinations on Emirates’ network. A Boeing 777 Business Class seat is on display.
The store is on the first floor of Otemachi One in Chiyoda-ku. It is open Monday to Friday, from 11am to 7pm, and closed on weekends and public holidays.
Emirates described Japan as a key strategic market. It currently flies directly from Dubai to Narita and Haneda airports in Tokyo and to Kansai International Airport in Osaka.
From 26 October, the airline is scheduled to increase its Narita services. That would bring its total passenger operations to and from Japan to 28 flights a week.
The extra service will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER. The airline said it will offer more than 300 passenger seats in each direction and an additional 20 tonnes of daily cargo capacity.
Emirates said the expansion would help meet growing demand for travel to Japan. It would also give customers travelling from Japan more choice and flexibility.
Customers can book through the airline’s website, online or offline travel agents, or the Osaka and Tokyo stores.
Emirates began operations in 1985 with two aircraft. It says it now flies the world’s biggest fleets of Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s.
