Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims under the government
scheme face a tight deadline to submit crucial documents. Ministry of Religious
Affairs has issued an urgent notice requesting submission by 15 January 2026.
This step is essential for completing biometrics
and data entry into Saudi Arabia's Nusuk Masar system. Saudi authorities have
set a final deadline of February 8 for this process.
Deputy Secretary Mohammad Safiuzzaman Bhuiya
signed the notice, calling the matter ‘extremely urgent’ for smooth Hajj
management. Pilgrims outside Dhaka must submit documents to their local Islamic
Foundation district office. Those in Dhaka and adjacent areas should go
directly to the Hajj Office in Ashkona.
Required documents include the original
passport, a copy of the Hajj registration certificate, and a biometric number
from the Saudi Visa Bio App. Pilgrims must also provide personal information,
including marital and employment status, plus recent travel history.
Failure to meet January 15 deadline could risk
visa processing delays. Notice has been distributed to all relevant agencies,
including Biman Bangladesh Airlines and the Islamic Foundation.
