The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) will hold the Third Global RSOO/RAIO Forum on Aviation Safety in Georgetown, Guyana, from 29 to 30 September 2026. This forum will take place in the Americas for the first time.
“The event, hosted in partnership with the Civil Aviation Authority of Guyana, will bring together officials from ICAO Member States, representatives of Regional Safety Oversight Organizations (RSOOs), Regional Accident and Incident Investigation Organizations (RAIOs), international bodies and aviation industry partners,” ICAO said in a statement.
The forum, held under the theme "Optimizing Resources through Coordination and Cooperation," aims to be a high-level platform for sharing experiences, discussing new challenges, and identifying strategic priorities to strengthen aviation safety oversight and accident investigation cooperation across regions.
Organizers said participation in the forum is free of charge, though advance registration is mandatory and subject to ICAO's review and approval process as well as venue capacity. The forum is intended for professionals from civil aviation authorities, regional and international organizations, training institutions, and aviation safety experts.
Limited exhibition space is also available for organizations wishing to showcase products, services, and technical solutions to regulators and decision-makers in the aviation safety community.
Further details on the programme, exhibition arrangements, visa requirements, and registration are available on the forum's official website.
