The U. The Embassy in Dhaka issued a public advisory reminding visa holders of the proper use of B1/B2 visitor visas, noting restrictions on working or engaging in any activity to earn money while in the United States.
In a notice shared on its verified Facebook page, the embassy stated that a visitor visa permits certain limited business-related activities. These activities include attending conferences, participating in meetings, and negotiating contracts.
However, the advisory clearly stated that B1/B2 visa conditions strictly prohibit receiving payment within the United States or working for a U.S.-based employer.
“It is your responsibility to use your visa correctly,” the notice said, urging travelers to comply fully with visa regulations.
The reminder comes as U.S. efforts continue authorities to inform international travelers about visa compliance.
