5 flights cancelled from Chattogram airport today

Five international flights were cancelled from Hazrat Shah Amanat International Airport (Chattogram airport) in Chattogram on Monday morning due to continued closure of airfields in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines cancelled two Middle East-bound departure flights from Chattogram airport. US-Bangla Airlines scrapped one departure and one arrival flight to the region. Air Arabia also cancelled one Middle East-bound departure flight.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines announced the cancellations in a press release, citing ongoing airfield closures across Middle Eastern destinations. Release stated that Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah airfields remain shut until further notice.
Meanwhile, Salam Air flight OV-401 from Muscat landed at Hazrat Shah Amanat International Airport at 8:15am Monday. After boarding passengers, return flight OV-402 departed for Muscat at 9:30am.
Total of 25 international flights have been cancelled from Hazrat Shah Amanat International Airport since 28th February due to ongoing Middle East conflict, according to press release.
Cancellations affect hundreds of passengers travelling between Bangladesh and Gulf destinations for work, business and family visits. Chattogram airport serves as key gateway for Bangladesh's southern region, with significant passenger traffic to Middle Eastern countries where large Bangladeshi expatriate communities reside.
Airlines have not announced rescheduling plans or alternative arrangements for affected passengers. Travellers are advised to contact respective airlines for refund or rebooking options. Airport authorities continue monitoring situation in Middle East region.
