Ethiopia has extended an invitation to Bangladeshi companies to invest in critical sectors, emphasizing its enduring economic expansion and providing prospects in renewable energy, agro-processing, pharmaceuticals, and industrial manufacturing.
The invitation came during a meeting between Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman and his Ethiopian counterpart Gedion Timothewos in Addis Ababa, according to a message received here today.
During the talks, Gedion underscored Ethiopia’s continued economic expansion and identified priority investment areas, including renewable energy generation, agro-processing, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment manufacturing, and the broader industrial sector.
He encouraged Bangladeshi investors to explore these sectors, noting the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships.
Dr Rahman reaffirmed Bangladesh’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, particularly through expanded trade and investment cooperation.
The two sides also exchanged views on enhancing collaboration in bilateral and multilateral platforms and agreed to elevate relations through deeper economic engagement and sectoral cooperation.
