The Westin Dhaka has begun a festival titled ‘Oceanic Treasures – a grand Seafood fest’ in collaboration with Mutual Trust Bank to showcase the diverse flavours for the seafood enthusiasts.

The festival has begun today and will be continued till 9 May at the Seasonal Tastes restaurant located on the level 2 at The Westin Dhaka.

According to a press release from the hotel, the inaugural ceremony of the festival was held on 29 April where the High Officials from the Norwegian Embassy and High Commission of Maldives, Thai Embassy in Bangladesh, Exclusive Partner Mutual Trust Bank, Airlines partner Maldivian Airlines, and Media were present.

Håkon Arald Gulbrandsen, (Ambassador - Norwegian Embassy), Shiuneen Rasheed (High Commissioner- High Commission of the Republic of Maldives), Thitiporn Chirasawadi (Ambassador - Thai Embassy) were the Chief Guests along with Md. Shakawath Hossain (Chief Executive Officer, Unique Hotel & Resorts PLC), Md. Abu Bokar Siddik, Head of Cards, (Mutual Trust Bank PLC.), Officials from Maldivian Airlines, with our guest Cluster Executive Chef Rimoun Obaid (The Westin Dhaka & Sheraton Dhaka) with the High officials from The Westin Dhaka cut the ribbon to inaugurate the ceremony.

A food tasting session by the expert Chefs took place after the inauguration where guests sampled the exotic signature dishes which will be on offer during the food festival.

Cluster Executive Chef Rimoun Obaid, Chef Swapan Rozario along with local culinary talents, will be showcasing diverse coastal flavors of seafood during the festival.

Guests dining during the festival will be able to enjoy authentic Seafood delicacies including Authentic Chilled Norwegian Salmon, Signature Seafood Paella, Seafood Thermidor, Seafood Pâté, Seafood Terrine, Seafood Lasagna, Fish Tagine, Samak Hara, Prawn Pyramid, and more.

At the live Seafood Experience counter: Lobster & King Prawns, Norwegian Salmon Fillets, Calamari & Octopus and more will be expertly pre-cut and beautifully displayed for guests to pick and choose from, ensuring a fresh and personalized experience. 

In addition, for meat lovers there will be tempting array of dishes including Mutton Nehari, different types of Kebabs and many more authentic meat favorites. For dessert lovers, a large array of sweets awaits, including Baklava, Turkish Revani, Tulumba, Lukma, Arabian Mahlabia, Kunafa, Katayef, and more mouthwatering desserts will be there to satisfy.

Oceanic Treasures will only be available during dinner, and the buffet is priced at BDT 9450 Net per person.
