Embassies of Schengen member states based in Dhaka issued a joint public advisory on Monday warning Bangladeshi visa applicants against submitting inaccurate or fabricated travel histories, cautioning that such attempts could undermine their prospects of obtaining a visa.
The alert, published simultaneously on the verified Facebook pages of the respective Schengen embassies, stated that all 29 Schengen states have access to the travel records of individual visa applicants and urged candidates to ensure their applications reflect truthful information.
"All Schengen states have access to the travel histories of visa applicants. Please be truthful in your application. Any attempt to fabricate your travel history with any Schengen country could jeopardize your chances of obtaining a visa," the joint statement read.
The Schengen Area, comprising 29 European countries, operates a shared visa and border management framework.
