German company Aerodata has expressed interest in providing airport calibration services in Bangladesh, the country's ambassador to Dhaka disclosed during a courtesy call on Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam at her secretariat office on Sunday morning.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat was also present at the meeting, a ministry press release said.

German Ambassador Dr. Rüdiger Lotz conveyed the German firm's interest during the meeting while also reaffirming his country's commitment to maintaining the highest level of cooperation with the current Bangladeshi government.

Both sides underscored the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Germany, with a particular focus on expanding cooperation in the aviation sector.

In response, Minister Khanam and State Minister Millat expressed their resolve to work closely with the German government in advancing the development and modernisation of Bangladesh's aviation sector.
