The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has welcomed Frontier Airlines as its newest airline member, according to an announcement by the global industry body.
Frontier, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, is a low-cost carrier and one of the major players in the United States budget airline sector, IATA said.
The airline operates more than 160 aircraft from the Airbus A320 family, giving it one of the youngest and most fuel-efficient fleets in the United States, according to IATA. Frontier serves more than 120 destinations across the United States, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean and continues to expand its network.
IATA represents and serves airlines worldwide, advocating on behalf of its members on key industry issues, including safety standards and sustainability commitments, as well as the industry's Fly Net Zero pledge to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
