US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T. Christensen visited three historical sites in Dinajpur, including a centuries-old mango tree, a terracotta temple, and a historic mosque, according to the US Embassy in Dhaka.

Christensen visited the Harinmari mango tree, believed to be more than 200 years old and among the largest of its kind in Asia.

He also toured the Kantajew Temple, known for its intricate terracotta carvings that reflect Dinajpur's cultural heritage.

At the Nayabad Mosque, a historic structure dating back to 1793, Christensen said he enjoyed the visit. "Enjoyed visiting Nayabad Mosque, a historic landmark dating back to 1793," he said.

Dinajpur, located in northern Bangladesh's Rangpur division, is known for its archaeological and religious heritage sites.

Christensen was confirmed by the US Senate as ambassador in December 2025 and arrived in Dhaka in January 2026.
