Qatar Airways won four titles at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2026 and retained its 5-Star Airline rating, the carrier said in a statement.

The airline said it was named World's Best Business Class for the 13th time and Best Airline in the Middle East for the 14th time. It also won the World's Best Business Class Lounge for the eighth time for its Al Mourjan Business Lounge—The Garden in Doha, as well as the World's Best Onboard Wi-Fi.

Qatar Airways described the Wi-Fi award as an industry first, saying it is the first airline to receive the title. It credited the recognition to its rollout of Starlink satellite internet, which it said covers the world's first and largest widebody fleet fitted with the system. According to the airline, more than 25 million passengers have been connected on over 96,000 flights so far.

The statement was issued from London on Friday. It did not say whether the airline also won Skytrax's overall World's Best Airline title this year. It noted that Qatar Airways has won that title nine times in the past.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer Hamad Al-Khater said the awards "belong to our people". He said the group's 60,000 employees delivered the passenger experience through what he called a particularly challenging year. He added that the airline will mark its 30th anniversary next year.

Al-Khater also congratulated the oneworld alliance, of which Qatar Airways is a member, for its recognition as the World's Best Airline Alliance for 2026.

On the business class award, the airline pointed to its Qsuite product, which features private suites and a four-seat configuration with movable privacy panels for groups travelling together.

The airline also said it has increased its daily flights across the Middle East by 14 percent this winter and that it will serve over 170 destinations worldwide through its Doha hub, Hamad International Airport.
