Yemen’s Houthis on Sunday (11 October) renewed their warning to airlines, airport workers, and travellers against using Saudi airports, Reuters reported.
The group said the warning should be taken seriously. It also said Saudi Arabia “bore responsibility for failed interceptions,” according to Reuters.
The warning came a day after an attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh killed 12 people. The Saudi civil aviation authority said at least 309 others were injured and that operations at the airport had been suspended. Two Bangladeshis were among the dead.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) said five flights from Dhaka to Riyadh were cancelled and that the Riyadh airport would remain closed until 3 am on October 12, Bangladesh time.
